Charlie Smith, UKIP Candidste, Bedford & Kempston, General Election 2015 responded as follows Thank you for your email on this issue. UKIP is determined to end tax evasion by big companies and our Economic spokesman, Patrick O'Flynn, pledged to introduce measures to tackle this problem at our annual conference in October last year. Further details as to exactly how we propose to do so will be revealed in our forthcoming Manifesto. I will let you know more as and when. Best wishes, Charlie My email to the candidates Sent: 12 February 2015 22:48 To: charlie.smith.ukip@gmail.com; mahmudhenry@gmail.com; patrick4bedford@yahoo.co.uk; ben.foley@greenparty.org.uk; richard.fuller.mp@parliament.uk Subject: What will you do to crack down on tax dodging? Dear Charlie Smith, Mahmud Henry Rogers, Patrick Hall, Ben Foley, and Richard Fuller MP, I'm concerned about the recent revelations that HSBC has been helping the super-rich dodge their tax, and that the government has not been acting to stop this. As a prospective parliamentary candidate in my area, can you let me know what you pledge to do to crack down on tax dodging and prevent scandals like HSBC from happening again? We need to see sanctions imposed on tax dodgers with the same zeal as those sanctions imposedbenefit claimants. Yours sincerely,
