Ben Foley, Parliamentary candidate for Bedford and Kempston, and Lucy Bywater, Green Party candidate for the Castle Ward, were out and about in Bedford today.
Although it was cold, Ben and Lucy were warmed by the response of Bedford people they met. People were very positive about the Green Party message, and Ben and Lucy received quite few pledges of support. The national Green Party surge is being reflected here in Bedford.
They collected more signatures for their petition to Re-Nationalise the railways. The Green Party have pledged to put People before Big Business, and Re-Nationalising the railways is just one step towards achieving that.
Even Richard Fuller MP managed to drop by and offer is support, although this was tongue in cheek. Thanks Richard.
