A £126m contract to run four NHS community hospitals in north Kent is awarded to the Sir Richard Branson company Virgin Care.
Lead Governor of the Kent Community Health Foundation Trust, Ken Rodgers seems to think private companies don’t have the interests of the community at heart. That’s probably because their primary aim is profit.
Rodgers said, “Foundation trusts have at their core public governors, elected by the local community, to look after their interests in building and monitoring these services which is not the case for private contractors”.
Another Privatisation driven by profit.
