A Tory MP stunned fellow parliamentarians after defending the benefits system that left a job seeker with learning difficulties without food or electricity after he was four minutes late for a Jobcentre appointment.

This story dates back to 5th Feb 2015. It’s a classic case. A Tory blaming the vulnerable, and those with learning difficulties, for their own predicament. He even tried to blame schools for not “curing” the Learning Difficulties.

How far removed from the real world can our highly paid, over educated, over indulged politicians get?

Can Westminster be trusted to understand the problems faced by ordinary people?
