‘Everyone should be able to learn outside the classroom’

Education is about experiences, as well as books and lectures. Children need to learn about the natural world around them, and the best way to do that is through experience.

Early on that can be done locally. Move your classroom outside. Use the local environment, built and natural. Being connected to the natural world they live in will bring so many benefits as they grow and develop.

This article in the TES reports that, “Real education’ is about developing rounded, resilient individuals who also happen to get good exam results”. A happy outcome of real education.
